Ok so. Have you guys heard of Kindle Unlimited?
Basically you pay $9.99 a month to borrow/buy/download from a selection of books on Amazon. They go right to your Kindle and they’re free. Well, kinda free.
When I started with Kindle Unlimited I couldn’t find any good books included.
Sure, if you’re into cheesy romance novels or series that look like REAL bad rip offs of Twilight, then you’re golden. LOL. I can’t just read anything though. I need it to be good. Duh, who likes a bad book? But you know there’s the type of reader who has to finish what they start, and that’s not me. Can’t think of a bigger waste of time than reading a bad book.
Anyway, after a Google search and getting lost in a bit of an internet wormhole, I found some really good Kindle Unlimited books that don’t appear on the first few pages of an Amazon search. The Skinny Confidential community loves reading so I hope this post is helpful for you guys.
Let’s get into it.
The Best Kindle Unlimited Books:
♡ These Tangled Vines by Julianne MacLean
This is a beautiful love story, BUT wait, don’t skip to the next! I’m not really into love stories or heartfelt things, but this story is so lovely, tiny bit heartbreaking, and it involves some mystery, which is always a bonus. Plus, it takes place in Tuscany and the author honestly makes you feel like you’re there.
♡ Beyond The Moonlit Sea by Julianne MacLean
Another mystery, but not a ‘mystery’ book. You’ll be turning pages just to find out what the fuck actually happened to one of the characters and the truth about all things that led up to it. It involves the Bermuda Triangle. Hmmm, can’t say much else.
♡ The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose
Literally can’t say anything without ruining it. But it’s really really good.
♡ The Brighter The Light by Mary Ellen Taylor
I love the way this author switches from past to present in both books. This one isn’t so much a love story, but it’s more of a family secret mystery. Suspenseful, but not in a scary way. You’ll keep turning the pages because you just want to know what happened!
♡ The Words We Whisper by Mary Ellen Taylor
Another story where family secrets come out throughout the book. I love this one. Same author as above, she moves from past to present and gives angles of each character’s perspective. It partly takes place in Rome during the war and present day America. I would definitely add this to your READ NEXT list.
♡ The Good Lie by A.R. Torre
Really good thriller involving kidnappings, murder, a cop and a psychiatrist. This is mild though compared to other thrillers out there. If a book is too gory or gross, I stop. I can’t do it. This one is perfect for those of us who like to be captivated but not totally grossed out.
♡ Every Last Secret by A.R. Torre
This is by the same author as above, so it’s the same kind of milk. Just enough mystery & suspense to keep you going but it won’t give you nightmares. This one involves a husband and wife, neighbors, obsession, betrayal – you get it.
Add all these to your wishlist! If you’re new to Kindle Unlimited, there are always deals where it’s free for 2 months if you sign up and you can cancel at any time. I think it’s worth it. Lauryn has it too and also loved The Good Lie and Every Last Secret.
Be sure to grab a popsocket for your Kindle. It’s honestly one of the best tips Lauryn has ever given me – my wrists thank her.
Happy reading!
